Dual Boot of 98/XP and having problems with 98 programs

Hi,
I have setup a dual boot system with 98 & XP using
Partion Magic. That works great! However, anytime I try
to install a program from 98, I get the "blue screen from
death" telling me I have a fatal error. Installing
programs in XP is not a problem. Please help!!
