Dual Boot 2000 & XP, Removing 2000 Drive ?

Hi All,
I created a dual boot system with 2000 on one 40 gig
drive and XP Pro on another 40 gig drive. I now want to
remove the drive that has 2000 on it and return the
machine to a single boot system.

How can I accomplish this without crashing the machine ?

Is it as simple as copying the boot.ini file to the XP
Pro drive ?

Sincerely,

Robert

Hello,

Once I did this, it was simply by editing the boot.ini file and removing the
entries that link to Win2k.
Then deleting Win2k directory (x:\winnt) and all relevant folders.
I also made sure *not to delete* the files that are in the root path, as:
ntdetect.com, ntldr, etc...

Regards,
Elias
