My father has a SCSI card with DTC 3181-005 on it and he
wants to know what the proper settings should be for
Jumpers 1 and 2. He is hooking it up to a flat-bed
scanner.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Check the manufacturer's web site for the documentation.

The manufacturer is Domex Technology Corp.

Jumper Settings:

jumper J1 on = PNR (Plug and Play disabled)
jumper J1 off = PNP (Plug and Play enabled)

jumper J2 on = 0WS (zero waitstates)
jumper J2 off = 1WS (one waitstate, required)

The default settings for this card are: PNR and 1WS. Try these
settings first.

Driver is available at:
http://www.domex.com.tw/driver/d_3181.htm

The last supported OS for this card was Win98. It will work
in Win2K, but the card will cause an additional 20-40 second
delay during boot. The card does not use an IRQ, just an I/O
address. It does not support DMA transfers, so don't count
on multitasking while the scanner is active.
