I just upgraded dsl from 54m to 300m. Do I need to upgrade the router and
network cards on the computer to get the faster speed? The network card
shows 100mps.

I have never seen 300 Mbps DSL. You more likely have 384 Kbps or 3 Mbps.

A 100 Mbps network is more than adequate.

There is no such thing as 54M or 300M DSL.

As others have observed the speeds you describe are impossible. I suspect
you upgraded from 54kbps to 300kbps - both of which are speeds well within
even the slowest wireless or wired network's capability.
