Recently reinstalled windows 2000 as well as service pack
4. Now all EIDE drives (both hard drives, zip and dvd
drive) are all displayed as SCSI devices in hardware
manager, in system information they are as EIDE. This
prevents correct use of dvd and other devices.........any
ideas??

Cheers

You may want to make sure you have the right driver for the IDE
controller/motherboard. Cd-rom that came with the computer or the
manufacturers website would be where i start looking
