Hi,

I have Compaq Presario 6000. Windows updated my driver 2 days back for
Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller. I open my dos Unilink
program in full screen mode. When closing the program my window goes
completing blank and does not return to normal windows. When opening
the program in a normal small window, all the other screen graphics get
distored. After a while, it says you don't have have enough graphics
memory to open another program . In addition, when I open a regular
dos (any window) in full screen mode and exit the full screen mode, the
screen also turns black and it doesn't return to normal windows. I
would appreciate a phone call in regards to how to correct this
problem.

Thanks

Suggest you go to the Compaq site to get the latest available graphics
drivers there. Then remove existing drivers you downloaded from
Microsoft and install correct drivers.

Best advice is NEVER, EVER install drivers furnished by Microsoft
unless those drivers are for something Microsoft manufactured. Even
then, I'd be hesitant to do it through the Windows Update program.

Calls will be made in the order the request was received.
Currently you are queued for 4:10 AM.

Larc is right, don't let Windows update drivers for you,
ESPECIALLY when the device is working properly already. Who
knows though, if WIndows updated more than just that one
driver, you might consider other changes made by (windows
update?) too.

I suggest you reinstall the previous driver if possible. If
you can't find the previous driver, then install the latest
version of DirectX and then the newest video driver from
Intel's website (for your 845 chipset motherboard).

Did you follow intels instructions for chip-set software (graphics drivers) ??
First you should install the chipset installation utility, then
after,install the
graphic drivers from the download.
