Driver / PCI Bus Logging

Hi,

I'm trying to diagnose an audio problem with a Creative SB Audigy 2, used
the kX Project drivers. I am getting periodic glitches (single, spurious
sample values) in any audio being processed by the card. This occurs even
if the audio is a DTS or AC3 bitstream being passed through to my AV
receiver. After various tests, I have concluded that these are being
introduced very early on, certainly before any processing by the DSP.

I am at a loss as to where to go to continue to debug the problem. One
potential solution that occurred was to log all messages passing through the
system, and all PCI bus transactions, and to look for any operations that
were failing, or indeed, any consistent messages around the time of the
glitches.

Can anyone recommend any (preferably free) applications that will allow the
logging of all low level messages being sent by the system, and if possible
any PCI bus transactions? I've looked through all the offerings from
www.sysinternals.com, but there doesn't seem to be anything there that will
meet my needs.

Many thanks,

Chris Key
