driver installations

      9th Oct 2007
I cant install any new drivers on my xp home edition computer, my cd rom's
does not read any driver cd's i try to install, for example: a mp4 or ipod
driver. what can i do? i cant use the expensive ipod's and mp4 players i
bought because i cant load music and video's on them without installing their
drivers first. please please help me..

Perhaps you need a new CD ROM.

If the cdrom is defective try downloading the drivers you need from player
manufacturers' web sites.

If *no* CDs can be read, this indicates that the drive is failing or is
disconnected. More information as to what exactly happens and what your
system is would be helpful; "XP Home" isn't enough.
