Hello,
I intermittently have a bsod which started when I got some adware/spyware
and I upgraded my IE to the latest version. I may have driver that is in
error now but I cannot find which one. Is it because of the IE or the
ad/spyware? I may be a coincidence about the ie thing.

Have you gotten the latest Updates from the MS Update site?

I automatically do, however it may be that I did not fix all the problems
when I built this machine. In other words, I may have always had this
problem, but it just became more apparent when I had contracted spy/adware.
Is there any way to find the driver causing the problem? I hope I won't have
to reinstall windows. Maybe I shoud do it overtop the old copy.

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot afterwards so
damaged files will be replaced.
