So, I'm trying to find to transfer pictures from my digital camera to my
computer, then to a compact disk. When i try to copy those files to disk, it
says to "insert a G-drive". I've inserted a CD, but I have no idea how to get
it to that specific drive.

If there is a possible way to do this, please tell me. If not, can someone
guide me through the steps on how to get my pictures to a CD. Thanks in
advance.

What model is your CD burner?
What software application are you utilizing to burn CDs?
