My wife was doing a scandisk in Norton Systemworks when all of the sudden the computer re-booted. Now it says drive C is inaccessable. Its recognized in the bios but will not respond to any C commands in recovery console, invalid path etc. I got a STOP errr code of STOP : 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, 0x807C6F65, oxF80D4630, 0x00000000) How can I fix this?

I guess if you cant work in recovery try booting to xp cd,install xp,then
select repair this copy of xp.You'll loose all updates but files, folders,
settings etc. will be ok.
