The A: drive problem still exists with the latest WindowsDefender update
(Defender v1.1.1051, Engine v1.1.1186 & Signature v1.13 1282.6).

Win2000 w/SP4 with all updates.

The event log shows:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: Application Popup
Event Category: None
Event ID: 26
Date: 2/24/2006
Time: 9:41:59 AM
User: N/A
Computer: KING-BOSS
Description:
Application popup: MSASCui.exe - No Disk : There is no disk in the drive.
Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.

Evidently the only solution I have seen to this is to have a disk in drive
during a scan. It seems weird to me because I have same problem and run Win
XP.
This morning the only thing I could do to make it stop buzzing was to put a
floppy in the drive and Defender moved on. So I am going to do that from now
on.
You would think microsoft could patch defender and resolve issue pretty
simply. But I check web site regularly and have found nothing to date to
update defender for.
