Drive Options are Blank

When I plug a hard drive to a USB port the options come up, but the
window has gone blank, it worked a couple of days ago!!

System restore to " a couple of days ago " .

Help us help you. Don't post replies that give almost no information. Does
"Tried that...didn't work!" mean that 1) you couldn't get system restore to
even give you one dialog box, or 2) it indicated there were no restore
points, or 3) there were restore points but none dated prior to the start of
the symptoms, or 4) all restore points dated prior to the start of the
symptoms failed during the restore process, or 5) the restore points seemed
to install properly but they do not solve the problem, or 6) I had restore
points turned off so there were none to restore from, or 7) something else
that might give us a clue.
