Try this.

1. Open My Computer - Right click on your CD Drive icon and choose
Properties. Click Recording Tab and make a check mark on "Enable CD-Recording
on this drive".

If the Recording tab is missing then try this:

1. Click Start - Run - type SERVICES.MSC and press Enter key.
2. From the list find IMAPI CD-Burning.
3. Double-click the service and change the Startup type to Automatic and
click Start.

Hope this help, let us know!

Thanks RajKohli ,It worked like a charm. I also appreciate the picture, I am
a visual learner. If I could be so bold I would like to ask about another
problem I have had for awhile. All of a sudden all my folders in My documents
lost their names when I open it from My Desktop. Now, it will sometimes not
even open from there. If I open it in another program to get something from
it , the names are all there? Would you have any idea what happened there? I
would be so happy to resolve this irritating problem Thanks nume52

Open My Documents. Click View button on Standard toolbar and choose some
another view like Details (You can also click on View menu bar and then click
Details). Now, again click on View button (or View menu bar) and hold down
Shift key before clicking on Thumbnail view.

Hope this help, let us know!
