I am trying to setup shadow copy, we have a power vault Drive array i.e. external drive storage connected via SCSI card on a server running Windows 2003 server, as soon as I select the shadow copy Tab on the drive properties it reads
Volume D:\is not eligible for shadow copies

How ever if I select one of the Internal drives I am able to setup Shadow Copy

Could someone please let me know if I will be able to still use the Shadow copy service on my power vault Drive array

Donts worry chaps - I have found the problem, its with the Array Manager software fro *eLL - make sure you are using v4.1
it seems to support VSS
