After taking out an internal zip drive (G i have installed many devices
including removable storage, hard drive and external memory on digital
camera. But on My computer these show up as "ZIP Drive (G".
How do i remove this or remove the name?
(the box in properties of the device is blank and in system management
changing the drive letter doest solve that when a removable device is added
the G: still thinks its a zip drive)

Run regedit.exe, navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\MountedDevices,
then delete DosDevices\G:. This may solve your problem. If it does
not then it won't to any harm either.
