Drive Image - rebuilt IDE Raid Array

Hi

I'm currently recovering a partition from a failed and rebuilt Raid 1
array. The NTFS (system/boot) partition is 50GB. However, it's buggered.

Recovery console - chkdsk /p hangs at 50%.
Recovery console - fixboot/fixmbr don't help

Drive image shows the partition as 50GB with 38GB occupied (a start!)

But running DI gives errors:

1602 File table backup mismatch
1607 File record marked free
745 Error: %d
501 Cross-linked files were found

and exits.

I'm copying the partition to an old IDE dirive temporarily connected to
IDE1. This appears to now be working with the "Check for file system
errors" disabled, but will take some hours to complete at the current
rate.

Are these errors which were originally being picked up on the source or
destination drives? (Obviously a concern as the recovery drive is old.)

Assuming that all goes well a llf and restore ought to do the trick.

Other info: XP Pro, Gagabyte GA-7dxr onboard raid (Promise 20265).

Thanks

John
