Hi, I recently installed a 120G Maxtor slave drive. Worked
great for a few weeks until my pc locked up and had to do
a hard reset. Since then the drive icon has gone from the
my computer panel. Did a dos maxtor diagnostic which
checked out ok. The windows 2k start up bios sees the
drive in addition to device manager which shows it working
fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled via device
managerto no avail. Have run a dos windows repair from the
windows cd.I even took the drive out and put it in my
other desktop, it worked fine.So it must be a windows
issue??? Its driving me nuts!!!
Any ideas on how I can get my drive icon back?
