I have Win XP and an external hard drive. How do I change
the designation of the external hard drive? I have
searched the literature and help - to no avail. I would
appreciate any help. Thank you.............

Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management.

The drive should appear on the right hand side of the screen and you
change/assign drive letters here.
