Upgraded case and wanted to change my drive locations. C=Maxtor 60gig, D=WD 20gig, E=Sony DVDROM, F=DVDRW

Prior to updgade C with E as slave IDE1, D with F as slaveIDE2
After (desired) C with D as slave IDE1, E with F as slave IDE2

I was ver careful to make sure that jumpers for master/slave were set properly. The system would not boot. Checked BIOS = all drives were recognized. The error said something about not finding the disk. BIOS is the most current Award 10/28/03. Changed drives back to original and no problems. Any clues as to the why it didn't like the change?

With two hard drives on the Primary IDE Channel you may have to use Cable
Select or another setting.
Look at Maxtor and WD websites to see if you can find any info on this
configuration.
