Hi Group,

I did a system restore on my laptop yesterday and now I get the following
failure when it runs up.

\\.\DRI_KBFiltr

After doing a "Google" I have found that it normally has something to do
with some sort of HP Hardware. Wait a second; I don't have any HP hardware.
What is the problem?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh ya, I am running XP Pro in case you were wondering and it is a known
problem.

Thanks

GL

Is your computer built by an OEM such as Dell or HP? It is rare that
someone builds their own laptop Anyways, these companies often
include a type of diagnostic utility that loads on startup and is done
by the BIOS. On my Dell Inspiron 7000, I think it calls it a Page to
Disk File. I had to boot off the Support CD's that came with the
computer to load this file back onto the harddrive. You may be having a
similar problem
