Person is wanting church to upgrade church website and make it more
interactive. It is just client-side now done with FrontPage. This person is
suggesting using PHP and MySQL. He claims that Dreamweaver will generate
PHP so that you do not have to know PHP that much. I am no Polly Anna and am
skeptical!!

I don't know anything about Dreamweaver other than there is debate over
which is better Dreamweaver or FP. Both are WYSIWYG editors but does
Dreamweaver really generate PHP? I know Dreamweaver is more expensive and
has greater learning curve supposedly.

Just curious.
Susan

Susan,
Dreamweaver can generate PHP. It has a model that let's create pages
in PHP, ASP, CF, and ASP.Net with similar results by creating common sets of
functionality.

Basically though, FrontPage can do a lot of the same, but
Dreamweaver adds a couple more features. It's not exactly worth the pricetag
unless you were going to do a lot of development with it.

Hope this helps,

If I bought it, I would but with kids the money goes elsewhere! I think I
can do enough with FP.
