The preview from Vista caused my vista to crash 3 times today. All previous
days the dreamscene program was crashing every hour once. Windows has to come
for a damn good reason for the Ultimate edition i bought because so far it
offers nothing good and functionable

Well, do you have a sufficent graphics card and enough memory to use Windows
Dreamscene? Other than that, mine hasn't crashed yet.

I would suggest you look for driver updates for your graphics card from the
card's manufacturer. Sounds like a driver issue. Drivers seem to be of poor
quality at this time, better ones should be released soon.

Here's another reason why I suggest that Microsoft never again release RC
beta software on the same applet as they do their updates. It doesn't make
any sense to do so and people can end up disappointed and frustrated. Those
in the "biz" may know that "Preview" indicates beta-ware, but many might
not. 'Shouldn't be done, IMHO.

Been running Dreamscene for days now without issue... remember, too, that
this version of Dreamscene is BETA code... Are you running the movie file
that comes with Dreamscene or are you running a different movie file?

almost everyone has had problems with some video or other.
I played about 5 different videos including full length movie.
but a Madonna video crashed it (explorer).
of course I have restart on error turned off.

try playing the same video in a video player and see how it behaves.
in some cases so much cpu is chewed up it can over heat and shutdown.

I own a Dell XPS1710 with duo core 2.16, 2gb RAM and a 512 mb 7900gtx
geforce card. I think those should be enough to play anything. Dreamscene
crashes there and again with any video whether that being the aurora windows
gave or some other HD video. My vista crashed yet again today but the weird
thing is that i had no dreamscene running. Before the reason vista crushed
was other than dreamscene but vista was blaiming dreamscene?? The new windows
live desktop mail makes my laptop crash the last few days. no solution given
to me by windows. It is so annoying uninstalling and installing this program
all the time since i have to create accounts every time.
