Hi all,
When I drag an icon on the desktop I cannot see the icon under the mouse.
The icon is there. When I let go of the left mouse button I can see that the
icon had moved.
When I drag a window I can see the frame.
What should I do to see the icon under the mouse?

Oren

Show windows contents while dragging?

Right click Desktop | Properties | Appearance tab |
Effects button | Show windows contents while dragging |
OK your way out.

Show windows contents while dragging
[[Specifies whether to display window contents as you move or size it. When
this check box is cleared, you can see only the outline when you move a
window.]]

Right click My Computer | Properties |
Advanced tab | Settings button under Performance |
Visual effects tab | Make sure that Show window contents while dragging is
selected here also | OK your way out.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Hi Oren,

With Show windows contents while dragging ticked you see the text when
moving an icon.

With Show windows contents while dragging ticked you see the contents of a
folder window while moving it.

With Show windows contents while dragging NOT ticked you do NOT see the text
when moving an icon.

With Show windows contents while dragging NOT ticked you do NOT see the
contents of a folder window while moving it. You just see the outline of
the window.
