Dragging multiple selected rows from a DataGridView

I have a DataGridView with MultiSelect=True and SelectionMode=FullRowSelect.
I am trying to implement an Outlook like interface where you can select
multiple messages (displayed in a DataGridView) and drag them into a folder.

Let’s say I Ctrl+Click the rows I want to drag. When I next push the left
mouse button down (without releasing) all the rows except the one under the
cursor are unselected, thus losing the user selections.

Any idea on how to accomplish this?

Thanks.
