I want to use Outlook 2003 as my news reader. Followed the instructions to
position the "News" icon onto the "Go" menu successfully - it all worked.

Next time round - no "News" icon under "Go" menu, went to go through the
process of adding the icon again but it is not listed!

Any idea where it's gone? and how to get it back!

Had you searched the group, you would have gotten more hits than for any
other topic.

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

Brian,

Thanks for the pointers. I got swept into this newsgroup (and prompted for
posting the queries) after searching the net. I did not realise it was such
a known "feature".

Thanks again,

Seasons Greetings....

Cheers,

BK
