Hi I am new to the group so if anyone can please I would be deeply
grateful.
I am trying to get outlook2003 to use "Download headers only" in cache
mode to save on 3g costs for mobile users, but it doesn't seem to work
at all. It tend to download header and then download message also.
I updated patches, removed and re-setup profile but no luck.
Any suggestions or ideas would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

I am under the impression that Cached Exchange mode requires that the entire
message be downloaded in order to run well. See this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821299/en-us . Your use of the word
"mobile" triggered this, but perhaps you mean not that people are using
WIndows Mobile devices, but that people are using laptops, so maybe it
doesn't apply.

Thanks Brian,
It's more to with laptop users alright instead of active synch users,
so it's a sticky one alright.
I think if you go over the 138kb speed download outlook seems to just
pull down the full message. We are trying to save costs on the 3g
cards as we get charged per meg, so I'm not sure how to fix it.
Thanks for your reply
Brian

I'm afraid I don't have anything else to suggest, other than perhaps that
you might want to bring this up in the Exchange newsgroups.
news:microsoft.public.exchange.clients would be appropriate.
