That is the method I use for FTP sites.
Check your Firewall settings (FrontPage should be allowed) - these are
probably OK since the remote site view gives Login dialogue.
Toggle the Use Passive FTP checkbox - Click Remote Website Properties,
and on Remote Web site tab either tick the box if it's clear, or clear
the box if it's already ticked.
Try connecting with a different FTP client - Internet Explorer is good
if you don't have a "real" client such as Ws-FTP. In the IE address
bar use the same address as you do in FrontPage. If this fails you need
to speak with your host.
Ask your host if anything has changed in the last 3 weeks regarding the
FTP server.
I have found over the years that there are some FTP servers that
FrontPage has problems with - sometimes it works, sometimes it fails
completely. FrontPage requires an almost perfect, continuous connection
or it will fail. Most other FTP clients will automatically reconnect on
a "dodgy" connection.
