Have a strange problem with outlook 2003. I have winXp sp2, norton internet security 2008 and office pro 2003 installed.

When I do send/receive it tries to download the mails but it blocks half way and mails will never come. I could access the mails directly from server and they are not big messages.

I disabled norton and its firewall and do send/receive on outlook, the outlook send/receive progress shows that it is downloading the 70 messages (4Mb total), when it finished Iwent to inbox, nothing, no mail. Went on server, mail also disapeared.

Now Im having a serious problem, it seems mail has been downloaded but has not and it has been deleted from server.

Do you have any suggestion or solution how to recover lost mails.

I have suddenly been experiencing the same problem. It started prior to
installing Norton 360. One e-mail account downloads perfectly and the default
e-mail acts like it is downloading, but no new messages appear. I have
deleted the problem e-mail and reinstated it and it doesn't seem to help. I
have no problem accessing my messages from my web browser.
