Hi Gregg
While I appreciate this situation is not right. Have you considered
installing a download manager? There are some free ones available with more
flexibility than IE. As you are a desktop man, Getright will create a `one
run shortcut` which will be deleted once you have executed, but for that you
will have to pay. On my system, Defender, doesn`t interfere with these
processes, so why let it arbitrarily take control of you? Suggest you take a
