downloaded file name changes

it seems that the downloaded file names changes when the original file name
contains multiple "."
In this case, if the original name is file-name-v1.0.0.exe, the downloaded
file name will be file-name-v1[1].0.0.exe

Internet explorer add the square bracket before the first "." ????
How to correct it ?
