Hi ,

I am trying to download a website page offline .The problem is i am
trying to save a page (of type *.cfm )that is displayed as a result of
a search and is dependent on the search criteria.I tried using Win HT
Track, Website Extractor and various other software..It fails cause of
the search criteria not being provided..is there some way i can save
the result of this search and related links from page/list turned up
from this search?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Ann

If it's something you'll be searching on a regular basis I'd put the search
URL into a desktop shortcut. Otherwise, the File->save/save as options
should save your info properly.

Maybe I have'nt understood your question ... I've tried a Google search for
"download freeware" (just to try), got the first page, saved it in IE6 in
..mht format and got a file called "Cerca con Google download freeware.mht"
(in italian; it should be "Search with Google download freeware. mht" in
english). Double clicking on it opens the first page, but clicking on the
page 2, 3 and so on at the bottom opens correctly the other pages (on the
web) of the search results. Does it work for you? If not, can you give an
example? Bye.

I don't think you can; the data is dynamic (not truly a part of the page
being saved).

you could try this (kudos to Gordon Darling for turning this one up)

<snip>
LinkBrowser 0.0.1
- A program for browsing the links in HTML documents and downloading
referenced files

About:
LinkBrowser is a program for browsing the links in HTML documents and
downloading the files that they reference. Basically, this program is like
a normal Web browser, but instead of rendering the HTML it just shows a
table of all the files that the html references. The files can be
downloaded in batches.

Changes:
A menu option was added that allows the look and feel to be changed at
runtime.

Release focus: Minor feature enhancements
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
Project URL: http://freshmeat.net/projects/linkbrowser/
Tar/BZ2: http://freshmeat.net/redir/linkbrows...2/linkbrowser-
0.0.1.tar.bz2
Zip: http://freshmeat.net/redir/linkbrows...p/linkbrowser-
0.0.1.jar
</snip>

I haven't had the opportunity to try this, but it sounds like it will do
just what you want
