Hi,

I have a friend who wants to download the web configuration websites of
routers and modems. He does tech support for the elderly over the phone and
needs to be able to know his way around a router. He wants to be able to go
to the client's house the first time to download the interface so that he
can then support them over the phone without having to go there himself. He
can find some of them on their manufacturer's websites like dlink which
usually has emulators.

He wants to know if he can do it somehow with frontpage. He has tried using
the website import template but it does not work. It only imports one page.

Please help me to help him help his clients.

FP can only import what the browser has access to.

He should just download the manuals for the various routers which will provide a guide to the
configuration screens embedded in the routers firmware.

The browser has access to the site but when we try, we only get the first
page. Is there anything special that I can do to get the whole site.

For downloading many web pages (documents), look into downloaders.

Google for WGET and look for the windows binary. WGET IS a command line
utitility.

For downladers with gui, if you would like to use the Firfox broser,
look into FlahGot and one of the free doaloaders that integrate with it.
