I recently installed Windows XP Service Packs 1 & 2 and Windows Defender.
Since doing so, I have not been able to download (save) or view any email
attachments (powerpoint or windows media, *.wmv). Does anyone know how to
fix this?

This is a little late, but I do know that this is a possible side effect of
Windows Defender.

If your system experienced this, and you want to help out with the beta,
please write to Mike Treit, of Microsoft:

(remove the spaces)

Describe the issue--he has some diagnostic tools to learn more about what is
happening.
