To search inside one or more text files in the same directory (folder)
under DOS, just use FIND. You already have that.

FIND /I "search_string" *.TXT *.BAT | MORE
FIND /?

Depending on your operating system you may also have FINDSTR, which is
more powerful.

FINDSTR /?
