I have a printer installed locally, and I don't need (and want) it
installed on the Terminal Server.

Is there a way to configure the client for it *not* to try to install
the printer, which would also prevent event id 1111 and 1106 errors?

Thanks for your help..

Have you tried this on the client:

Start your RDP client - Options - Local Resources tab - Local devices
- uncheck "printers".
