I have well over 5,000 pdf files that I link to via a form drop down menu. I
want to know if the FP search component will search the content of PDF files
that have been OCR'd in Acrobat. If not, is there a feasible solution to
searching the pdf files outside of creating an index in Acrobat and only
having Reader be able to search them. Cause I have already done this, but I
want a web solution if there is one.

No and no. It would be possible to create a search that would work in
the browser.

No. However if you are hosted on a Windows IIS Server w/Index Server, then by default the FP search
will use it, but the host must install the PDF filter from Adobe in order to search PDFs.
