How does the 1394 device works if you have more than 2-3.. as 1st one works but not..

I tried updating the drivers, SP2, SP3, etc.. go to SBP site.. nothing
helps... But other PC are all able to automatically mount it when I
turn on the power.. what is going on did I mess something up. I tried
reinstalling SP2 but that did not work. Please help. I even got
another new 1394 PCI card and that also did not work.. BTW I have
already a 1394 on the PC and it works and I just plug in another 1394
device and it does not work .. the DVD ROM works but not the Pioneer
105 on the 1394 Case.
