If it is jammed, there is not a great deal you can do but crash out in the
hope that you have autorecover configued and that it works to restore the
document you are working on.
You could copy first the hidden temporary files in your document folder to a
safe location as well as those from the user Temp folder that were created
since you started work on the document. There may also be an *.asd file
related to the autorecovery. Copy all of these to somewhere safe then press
CTRL+ALT+Del and shut down Word. Restart and with luck it should recover. If
not you *may* be able to find some or all of your document in the temporary
files. If not you are going to be late for class.
