ok so my web site doesn't have !doctype declarations in it? should it? I'm
using FP2003..

what to do, what to do?

Is there an easy way to just type the !doctype in to the top of the
document?

and why are people complaining - are they using Netscape from the 1900's or
something?

Thanks :}

Why are you concerned about it?
- no it does not need a doctype declaration
- and if you add one is must be the correct type of declaration for the code in your page

But if you feel compelled to add one just add it in code view as the 1st line
See http://www.htmlhelp.com/tools/validator/doctype.html

And you can do this:
http://www.spiderwebwoman.com/tutori...pesolution.asp to add one to
the template that FrontPage uses to create new pages.
