my default window size got set to small window when using a projector. How
do you set it back to a larger size?

Every time I open a window, it comes up too small and I have to resize it.

Thanks,
Steve

Same thing happen if you open Outlook, resize to the desired size (do
NOT maximize the window), and then EXIT out of Outlook and reload it?

That does fix the size. Is there any way to do it while Outlook is up? I
don't want to have to exit and start over, but can, if that is the only way.

Thanks,
Steve

Windows remembers the window's size (as long as it was not maximized)
when you close the application. So anytime later when you open that
application, Windows will try to use that same window size (provided
you haven't change the screen resolution). You should only have to
get Windows to remember the window's size once. Thereafter the same
size gets reused when you later open that same application. You ARE
setting the window size while Outlook is up.

I understand the scenario you have described, but the problem happens when i
use a projector, which forces a smaller overall screen size. When I am done
with the projector, it leaves the Outlook window size set smaller, even after
the screen is resized to the original settings. Then I am forced to exit
Outlook to reset the window size.

How do you reset it without exiting Outlook? There is obviously a command
to do it, but the question is, is there a built in way to do it or would I
have to find/write a program to do it?

Your projector (well, whatever *software* you have running on your
computer and not the projector itself) is changing the screen
resolution. That means when Outlook get opened that it has to resized
(smaller) to fit in the new screen size. You will continue to resize
Outlook because you continue to change the screen resolution.

Instead of having Outlook in a window that is sized smaller than the
desktop, why not configure the shortcut used to load Outlook so that
it maximizes Outlook's windows. Then Outlook fills up whatever is the
then current size of the desktop when you start it. With all the
panes and data in its window, I find that I always want Outlook's
window maximized so I can see as many columns as possible in the
message list pane, as much in the preview pane (underneath), and try
to widen the folder pane so I can see more of their names rather than
have to hover the mouse over them to see their full name in a balloon
popup.

swpcap,
Be aware that your screen size may change after doing MS Office, MS Outlook,
or a MS OS update or repair. Since some things may be changed back to the
default settings for that application.
