How do you restore Automatic Power Off?

I recently installed Windows XP on my home computer.
Prior to this I had Window '98 SE. Under '98 when I
shutdown my computer it would automatically power-off
(i.e. I didn't have to touch the power button after
hitting "Shutdown"). Once I installed XP this feature is
no longer active. Can anyone tell me the procedure to
enable this feature again?

Thanks,
Mike Hoy
