We have a Win2003 domain.

Whenever we set up a machine for testing on a separate workgroup that
workgroup's name appears under the Microsoft Windows Network.

Is there a way to prevent this? Or to make it go away faster?
Does it have any thing with the Master Browser list? Is there a setting that
controls this?

Thanks.

You can navigate to;
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
create a Reg_Binary value named
"Hidden"
set it's value to 1
