I've got 3 network cables that have lost their locking clips, so I want to replace the RJ45's. Is there a technique to removing an RJ45, or is it simply a case of cutting it off and re-stripping?

Thanks

Arnie

Techs have a special tool so they would simply cut off the old one and crimp a new one in place using the tool which does it all.

Simply repairing three cables wouldn't justify the expense of purchasing a tool so I'd be inclined to stop by a shop and have a techie do it.
