How do you Recover from An Outlook 2007 & BCM Crash

Unfortunately, yesterday, my Outlook 2007 along with BCM crashed and burned.
The reasons for the crash was an outside problem but the results were
devastating.

What is more devastating is that "apparently" backups in BCM or either
worthless or I am not using them correctly. I had a good backup, just a day
or so old. But restoring my backups did not do me very much. Unless I'm
just not understanding what the restore does. So here are my questions:

1.- After fixing Outlook and "reconnecting" to the BCM database, I found
all my Accounts and Contacts in BCM. I was happy.

2.- I then restored my BCM backup from a day or so before. That when peachy!

3.- Here's the problem: Any links to tasks, calendars, etc were gone.
While the tasks were there, all the reminders were gone. Most tasks created
under the Business Contact are no longer as a task but a "Business Activity."
It shows the information but has no reminder features. I have to recreate
the Task.

4.- That means that I have to find a way to search for the "Business
Activity" items to recreate the task.

5.- Any e-mail linking is gone but I've fixed that and know how to recover
those connections.

So what is the purpose of the backups. Is there a way to backup these
links, tasks created in BCM and the sort. What a mess.

Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

Sincerely:

Louis James

As far as I know from MS peoople reminders of BCM can only be saved by exporting into .bcm format and not saving by database
Sorry for that, I also did misunderstand the function database saving at my bcm sturt up
s.
