how do you install a pc game patch

I downloaded a game patch and don't know what to do with it. How do you
install it ?

Hi Babs,

Patches provided by most game publishers will self install
once you double-click the patch after you've downloaded it.

      1st Sep 2007
I double clicked the patch icon on desktop then it told me to unzip, which I
did. then it said that 2 files have been open and click ok. All that was left
to do was to close, which I did. Is there something else to do?

      1st Sep 2007
Wherever it is you unipped them is where the patch executable is located;
that is what you then double-click to install the patch.
