how do i use .mov in front page

I have a .mov file that doesn't work in front page 2000. I created my own
slideshow, but could only save it as .wmv. It shows up on PCs but not Macs.
When I used some software to convert these files to mpg and avi nothing
showed up. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I also have front page 2003
but haven't used it yet.
