How can I use Front Page to build a e-commerce site to sell custom computers
& components?
It needs to have & interact with a data base to configure the computers and
update the price and then place the completed system in a shopping cart

Yes you can

But you will need to find out what OS your host has and what they support
- then use the appropriate DB, and Shopping cart addin

Check out http://www.ecommercetemplates.com/default.asp. They have
templates in both .asp and .php formats w/a generic one starting at
$105.00. I found it fairly easy to customize to the look of my existing
site; I'd post the link but it's not ready for primetime yet. Help is
only via their forums but, if you follow their fairly extensive
directions, you shouldn't have any problems.
