Everytime I use the "Set As Home Page" menu option - FP2003 renames my file
to Default.asp, but I NEED the file name to stay what it is and have FP
adjust to my filename. I want my file name to be the file it targets for the
"home" button for all navigations.

How can I do this? Can I change the name FP uses for the "Set As Home Page"
menu option?

FP doesn't use a file name in the home link, it just point to the root of the web / subweb /subsite.
Then based on the default document (home page) setting on the server, the correct page will load.
You page must be named as required by your web host, not what you want it to be, unless you get your
web host to add the name you want to the default document list on their server, as the first item in
the list (this only applies if publish to a server that has the FP extensions).

PS
If you are setting it on your online hosted server site, that is what they have set as the 1st filename for the home page default
filename (Default.asp) - leave it that way

If you are running a local server under IIS and the FP SE (and don't need the home page filename to be Default.asp for your hosted
site) you need to open IIS and in the root web properties to change the order of filenames so the 1st filename is whatever your host
requires - that's where FP is getting Default.asp from
