Hi, I download the Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition to my laptop,
and it cannot function, because it said this program is not compatible
with Windows Vista. I want to know how can I upgrade this program to
function well in my lapotop. Thank you

Contact either Symantec or the Systems Administrator from whom you
obtained your out-dated copy of SAVCE and request the Vista-compatible
version (10.2).

That is incorrect. It may be that the version the OP used was
incompatible, but Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition v10.2 *is*
Vista-compatible.

Another misstatement. Containing unnecessary bloat and using too many
system resources is not at all the same thing as being incompatible.
Anyway, Symantec's enterprise-level products, such as SAVCE, are for
superior to the consumer-grade products sold under the Norton brand, so
your comment above is both untrue and irrelevant.

AVG may well work, although I seriously doubt any software product can
ever be made "flawless." But Vista had *no* virus protection. Why
would you suggest it?

Symantec Corp Ed 10.2 is fully compatible with Vista and works well on
workstations, don't install it on servers yet. If your company has
maintained their licensing you can get it free from Symantec or you will
have to pay for the upgrade.

Go to a store and buy a legitimate copy instead of being a thief and taking
something that is not yours.

Quite an assumption you have there. Two points:

1) Symantec Anti-Virus corporate edition is not available to home
consumers via retail channels. It is designed as a centrally
controlled, enterprise-level solution, sold only to businesses. Hence
its name.

2) The SAVCE license permits purchasing companies to distribute copies
to their employees' home computers, recognizing that many people
carrying work back and forth between home and office. This is a
potential security hole that helps SAVCE cover.

No "assumption" about it. When someone says they need to "fix" or "upgrade"
their Symantec "Corporate" software, they are
talking about one thing and one thing only: pirated software.

The single most pirated software in the world, according to the latest
statistics, is Norton Internet Security.

The OP wanted help with his pirated, non-legitimate copy of a Symantec
product which he probably downloaded from a
P2P site.

I do believe in buying a product if I am going to use it. Pirating software
should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

We should also not encourage those, like the OP, who blatantly use known
pirated software, and even have the
audacity to go to a public forum and ask for assistance with illegitimate
software.
